Leave a Nest Malaysia Will Be Conducting Its First Robotics Workshop for SESERI Students On 11 November 2017

Hello young scientists and researchers!

Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn.Bhd. will be at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), UTM, Kuala Lumpur on 11 November 2017 to conduct a special introductory workshop on Robotics. This workshop is customized to suit the learning needs of passionate students from Sekolah Menengah Sains Seri Puteri (SESERI), Selangor.

Seventeen (17) students aged 13 to 14 from SESERI will be participating in the workshop and they will be coached by Mr. Abdul Hakim from Leave a Nest Malaysia Sdn.Bhd. Mr. Abdul Hakim who is an Electronics System Engineering, UTM alumni, had represented his university and also Malaysia in several Robotics competition at local and international level while he was still a student. He is eager to share his knowledge with the students and to delight them with the magnificent world of robots.

Details of the robotics workshop:

Date : 11 November 2017, Saturday

Time : 8.30am – 4.30pm

Venue : Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), UTM,  Kuala Lumpur

Several interactive and hands-on session including how to build a basic robot, thrilling robot race and presentation on robot ideation will be part of the workshop activities.

UTM-MJIIT as workshop co-organizer will blow the minds of the students with their incredible line-up of robots during demonstration time. Students will also be taken on Robotics Lab tour.

We hope the SESERI students will discover new ideas from this workshop and bring home robotics knowledge to share with their friends and teachers.

Profile of Teaching Staff for Robotics Workshop

Mr. Abdul Hakim Sahidi

Abdul Hakim Sahidi is a Malaysian and lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received diploma in Electrical (electronic) engineering from University of Technology,Malaysia and the a B.A in Electronic System Engineering from Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology. Currently working as Strategy Development Assistant Manager at Leave A Nest Malaysia. His professional passion is in business and had being involved with business since he was study in university. He also experienced in project management and involved with many societies during his study.

Ms. Marshila Kaha

Marshila received her Bachelor degree in Industrial Chemistry at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Pursuing her study in Master in Philosophy major in Microalgae research. Currently working at Leave a Nest Malaysia as Assistant Manager Education Development.

Ms. Idarahayu Ayob

Idarahayu received her Master in Technology and Innovation Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She completed her first degree in Information Technology (majoring in Artificial Intelligence). Prior to joining Leave a Nest Malaysia, she had served a government agency and actively involved in the bridging programs between academia and industry, train-the-trainers, national scholarship and also research encouragement funds in new technology. She’s an industry advisor for several universities and also regulatory bodies in Malaysia. At Leave a Nest Malaysia, Idarahayu is with the Strategy Development Division. She’s on the lookout for new corporate partners and responsible in expanding real-tech seed acceleration program and its ecosystems.
