2017 TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in the PHILIPPINES is happening this Saturday @ QBO Innovation Hub

Leave a Nest Co. Ltd. will host TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in the PHILIPPINES on May 27th, 2017 at QBO Innovation Hub, Makati, Manila. This Demo Day series in Asia Pacific is the showcase of very early stage deep technology startups & pre-startups.

 

Overview of TECH PLAN DEMO DAY in the PHILIPPINES
Date: Saturday 27th May
Time: 13:00~19:30 (Venue open from 12:00)
Place: QBO Innovation Hub   1209, 375 Sen. Gil J. Puyat Ave, Makati, Kalakhang Maynila, the Philippines

Twelve selected teams will give presentations about their business ideas based on their technology. The teams have worked on their ideas and presentation with mentors from Leave a Nest to this day.

Many teams are from major universities in the Philippines, such as University of the Philippines, De La Salle University, De La Salle University Lipa, Ateneo University, Bohol Island State University, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University. Also many teams are from deep technology area.

■About TECH PLANTER Asia Pacific
TECH PLANTER is a unique seed acceleration program for REAL TECH (generally called as deep tech) startups. Since 2014, we’ve supported more than 70 early stage teams in Japan. And as a result, ca. 50 mil USD fund raising our teams were given from various sources including VCs, national grants, and etc.

In Asia Pacific countries such as in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, India, Thailand, and the Philippines, more than 200 teams applied to our program in 2016. The combination of academic researchers, business ideas, and big companies’ partners from Japan, provides one and only community where scientists & technologists can explore the business field. The program also provides the show case event of each team’s idea to our partner companies from Japan.

Tech Planter is currently traveling the world, already done in India and Malaysia, and will be in Thailand on June 3rd. The winner from these rounds will be invited to join the Asia Pacific Final in Singapore on July 29th .

前田 里美/ Satomi Maeda 国際開発事業部 Ph.D., Wright State University, Dayton, OH. Psychology (Human Factors & Industrial Organizational Psychology). My doctoral research was about visual attention on dual task situations. While working on doctoral research, I was also working as an academic advisor for undergraduate program in Psychology engaging in academic counseling, holding seminars and evaluating undergraduate curriculum. After joining Leave a Nest, worked on overseas training program development, write and edit career magazine. Currently a general manager in Global Platform Development Division, mainly working on training program development for youth leaders and teachers in Japan and the world.
